Terchova- weekend with Slovak Robin hood

Nothing is better than vacation in mountains! During the stay in the village Terchova we will go to Janoshikove diery (very nice hike with waterfalls all over the place) and we can call it with no doubts one of the most beautiful places to go hiking in Slovakia. Later we will go to “koliba” (chalet and restaurant), where you will attend workshop for traditional Slovak cheese. This tour is basically “fast introduction to this beautiful region” as it is full of interesting information and places.

Oddych v srdci hôr je to najlepšie, čo si môžete dopriať! Počas víkendu v Terchovej vám ukážeme nielen Jánošíkové diery, ktoré môžeme bez problémov nazvať aj najkrajším výletom na Slovensku, ale zavítame aj do blízkej koliby, kde si vyrobíte vlastné syrové výrobky. Na tomto zájazde nevynecháme ani históriu a nazrieme za múry hradu Strečno.

Itinerár

1. deň:

Departure from Bratislava ( there will be stops in Trnava, Trencin and Zilina)
Our first steps will lead to local „koliba“, where you will try to make traditional slovak cheese like
„korbachik“ or „oshtiepok“. After the workshop you will receive a certificate.
Transfer to hotel

2. deň:

Today a little hike is ahead of us. Janoshikove diery is situated in Mala Fatra and it is a set of beautiful scenery, canyons, and waterfalls in the national nature reserve Rozsutce. Do not forget to wear proper shoes for hiking. Beautiful views are waiting for you.
In the evening you will be awarded a visit to a first mountain brewery in Slovakia. You will learn about beer
making and many other interesting things. Beer tasting is also a part of the tour.

3. deň:

This day is dedicated to history. Our target will be Strecno fortress, which is standing here for almost 700
years. The most known person who used to live in this fortress is Zsofia Bosniakova, wife of Ferenc Wesselényi. She was known for her help to poor and sick, which earned her name Saint from Strecno. During the tour you will learn about her life and about the life in a fortress.
In the end of the tour you will try Slovak raft! The roots of this interesting way of transportation go back to 11. century. You will not regret this ride with its beautiful views.
