Join us for a one-of-a-kind food tour at a place where locals have been shopping since the 1970s. Welcome to "Miletička" – a place that serves as a genuine time capsule of the city. Here, you’ll find everything...
Learn about the history of Slovakia during the World War II. Slovakia and Holocaust - every country has its positive and negative history, but both of them are very important and interesting.
During this tour we will discuss World War II and the situation in Slovakia back then. Let us invite you to The Sered Holocaust Museum, which was created on the site of the former labour and concentration camp in Sereď, which represents an authentic location that is linked to the tragic era of the solution of the Jewish question in Slovakia during World War II.
The museum exhibits period documents, photographs, and items related to the persecution of Jews in Slovakia. One of the exhibited artefacts is a cattle wagon used to deport Jews to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
The museum also serves as a memorial to murdered Slovak Jews. Approximately 16,000 passed through the camp in Sereď alone, most of whom perished during the Holocaust.
